Director of Quality Assurance
for their world-class facility.
Summary:
The
Director of Quality Assurance
will be responsible for leading all safety operations in a manner which aligns with organizational goals and FDA/USDA standards, protocols, and policies- reporting to the VP of Operations. This company is seeking someone who is collaborative, entrepreneurial, and excited to build a unique product.
The ideal Director of Quality Assurance
will have the following skill set:
Bachelor's degree in food science/engineering or related technical field required8+ years' experience in an Quality environmentFood or beverage manufacturing environment requiredExperienced with audit complianceExpert in USDA, FDA or GMP GuidelinesLEAN/Six Sigma/ 5 Whys/Pareto Certifications preferred, but not requiredSuperior leadership abilities- communication, collaboration, organizationBilingual- Spanish is a plusThe Director of Quality Assurance
will have the following responsibilities:
Oversee all Quality and Food Saftey operations daily within the facility- equal time on floor and in officeLead a high performing and cohesive team with collaboration across Quality, Manufacturing, Planning, Logistics, and Customer Service within the facilityDrive Continuous Improvement and safety culture across entire facility- promoting and developing efficiency programsCollaborate with senior leadership to develop, execute and uphold long-term business plans which align with company vision, values and standardsBuild and expand in house capabilities, building process to have COAs readily available for customersEnsure guidance and support to all colleagues in processes to obtain required key regulatory certification requirementsDevelop, implement and uphold recall and Traceability Programs including Mock RecallsEnsure operations are following FDA, USDA, Kosher, Gluten-Free, and Organic RegulationsBenefits:
