We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our Finance team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. The Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for managing the tax department and ensuring the company's compliance with all tax regulations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strategic mindset, capable of driving change and promoting operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Oversee all tax operations, including planning, compliance, and research.Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.Manage members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and state tax returns.Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team, and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.Provide support with various internal audits and special tax-related projects.Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.Manage and coordinate tax planning and tax audits.Maintain tax balances on general ledger.Prepare all tax papers on a regular basis and handle all information data requests.Serve as a key point of contact and manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.Lead and mentor members of the tax team to increase performance.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation is a plus.Active CPA License is required.5+ years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role.Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements.Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks.Strong experience in managing multiple business interests.Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements.Strong experience with tax planning, strategic planning, and complex tax issues.Strong leadership and personnel management skills.Analytical skills with detail orientation.Ability to work independently and in team settings.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and good knowledge of relevant software (e.g. TaxTron).Strong understanding of MS Office and accounting software.
