Sr Operations Specialist - Financial Transactions

This role is responsible for timely, accurate, and efficient processing of financial transactions in our client accounts. This position will also approve financial transactions initiated by other team members. Other duties will include initiating incoming and outgoing transfers, communicate with our Financial Professionals and Clearing Firm, deposit stock certificates and a variety of other tasks.Perform work in support of both AIC (Ameritas Investment Company LLC) a FINRA registered Broker Dealer and AAS, (Ameritas Advisory Services LLC) a federally registered investment advisor firm.At Ameritas, our mission is Fulfilling Life. Because we believe everyone should be happy, healthy, and financially secure, we work hard to provide trusted financial products and valued guidance, including individual life and disability insurance, employee benefits, retirement planning, investments, and wealth management services.This is a hybrid role working partially in-office (Lincoln, NE) and partially from home.What you doResponsible for processing Financial Transactions (checks, wires, EFTs, journals) in client accounts. Perform regular internal audit of transactions to verify accuracy.Review and approve Financial Transactions initiated by Financial Professionals and internal associates. Identify and eliminate potential problems in a timely manner.Initiate all incoming and outgoing transfers on client accounts held with National Financial Services (NFS).Deposit of Stock Certificates and Warrants.Monitor and respond to all service messages received by NFS in addition to the Cashiering Email Inbox.Answers incoming calls to the Cashiering department and back up other departments as needed.Print and upload the Daily Cashiering Reports for review by a Supervising Principal.Collaborate with Team Lead on escalated cases for guidance and resolutions and assist leadership on projects as needed.Perform deposit approvals, attestations and medallion signature guarantees with Series 24 License. Establish and utilize techniques that will assist in discovering and preventing fraud.

What you bringBachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.1-3 years of related experience required.Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft programs required.Strong attention to detail and accuracy is required for this role.Previous experience in the securities industry strongly preferred.Series 7 License required.Series 24 License preferred or must obtain within 6 months of hire date.Experience with Wealthscape, NFS, and/or Docupace all desired.
