Hiring Immediately!Not a remote roleExperience and/or certifications in electronic security systems (access control, video management, intrusion detection)NICET certification or fire system experience is a plusGenetec, Lenel, AMAG, and Brivo experience are highly preferredPosition Overview:Allied Universal Technology Services is looking to hire an Applications Engineer. The Applications Engineer is responsible for software-specific support of our installation team to include the integration / interface of multiple disparate software applications into fully functioning solutions. This position will be responsible for all levels of system head-end commissioning, upgrades, and advanced diagnostics to achieve the defined functionality of systems operation. The Applications Engineer should be capable of utilizing existing SDK's and/or API's to ensure the desired level of integration and should be capable to perform customized integration between software applications. The Applications Engineer's schedule will be coordinated by Operations and Project Managers to be effectively and efficiently utilized.Requirements:In-depth knowledge of industry-leading security system and equipment providersCertification with major enterprise level security/access control systems preferredA high school diploma or equivalent required; a BA/BS Degree preferredProficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint and Word)Certifications in the following Software platforms are preferredGenetec, Lenel/S2, Software House/CCURE, Brivo, AMAGAxis, Exacqvision, MilestoneDMP, BoschNotifier, Fire Lite, Simplex, Silent KnightSalientNiceVision

Responsibilities:Capable of advanced integration between disparate electronic security systemsLAN & Network configurations experience include wireless communications system.Perform system diagnostic and troubleshooting duties to ensure a fully functioning systemWork with Project Managers, End Users and Technician team to provide assistance in regards to the software systemsTroubleshoot project issues and engage appropriate resources as needed.Escalate significant issues to management team as needed.Work with the Project Management team to coordinate project and work schedules to ensure project efficienciesWork with Operations Manager to schedule and maintain appropriate licensing and software trainings for professional developmentTake the lead in End User Software trainingQualifications:Decision-making and problem-solving abilityAbility to read and understand advanced technical information and documentationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customersMust be detail-oriented and organizedStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesStrong time management skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to motivate and influence othersMust be able to manage multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlinesPossess excellent follow-up skillsBenefits:Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insuranceEnrollment in our company's 401 (k) or Supplemental Income Plan, subject to eligibility requirementsEight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal daysVacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly.
