Job Summary

Provides secretarial and administrative office support to the Department of Anesthesiology.

This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

The office assistant in the Department of Anesthesiology will assist in weekday daily lunch ordering, coordination, and delivery to the ORs for our anesthesia providers. Additional responsibilities will include assisting in daily office functions, which may include scanning, printing, and faculty and staff support. This position is onsite in the HELIX building.

Estimated hours: 20 per week.

The position may also include the following responsibilities:

Provides administrative support to supervisor or department.

Prepares correspondence, including composing routine letters and memos.

Schedules appointments and maintains supervisors or departments calendar.

Makes arrangements for meetings and conferences.

Establishes and maintains confidential files.

Orders and maintains supplies for department.

Provides additional general office support such as greeting and directing visitors, handling incoming calls and processing mail.

Orders and delivers physician lunches daily to multiple locations.

Responsible for ordering/activating/troubleshooting cell phones for faculty and residents.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. One year full-time customer service experience or equivalency, demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.
