Maintenance Supervisor
Overview:
Join a dynamic food manufacturing company as a Maintenance Supervisor, where you'll be the driving force behind setting up and managing a new high-speed packaging and processing operation. We're looking for someone who can lead a team of 10-12 skilled maintenance technicians and electricians with a focus on innovation, effective communication, and strong problem-solving abilities. An AAS or BS degree is a must
Your Role:
Team Leadership:
Guide a crew of Mechanics & Electricians in both predictive and preventative maintenance, ensuring all machinery operates at peak efficiency.Maintenance Management:
Design, implement, and supervise daily maintenance processes and documentation for a High-Performance Manufacturing Organization, including TPM, SOPs, and safety protocols.Scheduling & Coordination:
Collaborate closely with Production to ensure maintenance activities are scheduled efficiently and executed seamlessly to minimize downtime.Performance Tracking:
Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the maintenance team, including supplier and contractor performance, equipment reliability, and overall operational efficiency.Troubleshooting & Support:
Provide both immediate and long-term solutions to support all operating teams, focusing on problem analysis, equipment failures, and troubleshooting.Employee Training:
Educate team members on the best practices for work methods and safety, ensuring compliance with all USDA regulations.Record Keeping:
Maintain precise records of all maintenance activities, including work performed and inventory management.Reporting:
Keep the maintenance management team informed with regular status updates and reports.What You Bring:
Educational Background:
BS/BA is required; candidates with an Associate's degree or relevant maintenance certifications will also be considered.Supervisory Experience:
3- 5+ years in maintenance supervision within a food, beverage, consumer products, or any other closely related manufacturing environment is required.Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in mechanical and electrical repair is required, with knowledge in PLCs, instrumentation, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, and support systems like ammonia refrigeration, high-pressure boilers, and compressed air being a plus.Systems Knowledge:
A strong understanding of maintenance systems, work order processes, predictive/preventive maintenance, TPM, and scheduling software is preferred.Leadership Skills:
Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts, manage change, make informed decisions, and effectively delegate responsibilities.Problem Solving:
Capable of leading complex problem-solving and troubleshooting efforts in high-pressure situations.Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.Software Proficiency:
Comfortable using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.Organizational Skills:
Effective at planning, setting priorities, and managing time.Language Skills:
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is an advantage.
