Provides ongoing user education and informatics support for various teams, committees and informatics projects throughout the facility. This position assists in providing facility vision and direction for implementations, workflow design, data management and related duties to support Shriners Hospitals for Children Mission and Vision.Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for an on-site Informatics Specialist to join our team in our Shreveport, Louisiana location.Responsibilities:Supports clinical integration, operations, and achievement of clinical excellents related to InformaticsSupports the Clinical Analyst with development, delivery, communication and evaluation of staff education related to clinical systems.Coaches, mentors, and provides support for members of the clinical team in gaining and maintaining competency in use of clinical information and communication systems.Develops and performs competency assessments related to clinician use of information systems; documents findings; designs and delivers targeted remediation training as necessary.Facilitates and or participates in interdisciplinary teams to identify clinical systems improvements.Provides effective change management leadership
Qualifications:EducationBachelor degree in Nursing, Health Informatics or related fieldCertification/LicensureProject Management certification or Informatics certification preferredExperienceMinimum of three years experience in clinical informaticsOne year EMR (electronic medical record) experience, EPIC experience preferredOtherCurrent full vaccination status
