Description
Brad Foote Gear Works, a division of Broadwind, Inc., is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a first shift position, with overtime as necessary. The role will be responsible for maintenance of electrical & control systems, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting & repairs of hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation controls. This person in this position will have excellent knowledge and experience with PLC controls (Fanuc, Siemens and/or Allen Bradley), high voltage, instrumentation, motors, digital & analog electronics, schematics & blueprint reading, control circuits, power distribution, and AC/DC theory.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSIdentify, troubleshoot and repair problems in electrical circuits & wiring that occur in a manufacturing settingRun tests, isolate problems, repair or replace faulty components & wiring, run conduit and perform other tasks as necessaryComply with the National Electrical Code as well as state and local building codes in the safe installation and use of electrical components, wiring, circuit breakers and outlets in buildingsDiagnose and repair CNC equipmentUpgrade electrical wiring as required to handle higher current demandsAll other duties as assignedRequirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Academic/Experience/Credentials/Certifications:
High School diploma or equivalent educationJourneyman certification preferredMinimum of 5 years of Electrician experience preferredExperience in a team based manufacturing environmentSpecialized Skills/Knowledge/Ability:
Read blueprints & schematicsUnderstand and use proper PPE for high voltage and industrial standards
