Duties/Responsibilities:
General duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Prep construction sites by clearing obstacles and hazardsAssembling and disassembling temporary structuresManage and monitor traffic control in regard to work zone regulationsCleaning and removing debris and waste materials from or near the construction siteLoading and unloading materials and suppliesDigging trenches, removing filling, and/or compacting earth with use of shovels and rakesReading and following construction plans and blueprintsFollowing supervisors instructionsAssist equipment operators, carpenters, and other skilled craftspeople when necessaryMeasures distance from grade stakes, drives stakes, and stretches tight lineMay be required to perform tasks from other job descriptions depending on available work and schedules, i.e. wall/foundation building as form setter, earthwork, etc.Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and in all types of terrainAble to meet all physical requirementsAble to work around periodic exposures to high levels of noise, odors, gasses, dust, grease and a variety of substances commonly found on construction sitesAble to work in extreme temperatures, in confined spaces, high places, in excavated areas, and near heavy equipment and moving machinery
