An Asphalt Distributor Operator is an hourly-rated skilled position that is capable of operating the asphalt distributor truck safely while applying the liquid asphalt to the roadway.The duties of this job require physical capabilities such as standing, walking, bending, and climbing of equipment steps. Employees must also be able to lift 30-50 lbs on a daily basis.
Hold a current CDL with Tanker endorsement.Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screenPerform daily inspections of equipmentPerform daily checks of fluid levelsMonitor flow gauges, tachometer, and temperature gaugesKeep truck clean and servicedBolt on appropriate spray bar needed for jobPerform routine maintenance needed to ensure safe operating procedures.Responsible for notifying supervisor if equipment needs to be repairedAssist in daily job operations including labor and maintenance.Must be able to work nights and weekends when requiredThank you for your interest in E.R.
