Position Summary

The Quality Control Inspector I inspects production parts using the optical comparator and various hand tools.

This position reports to Quality Control Inspection Lead.

Retrieves CAD model(s), drawings, and specifications from databasesInspects new parts for the First Articles and production parts using the optical comparator and various hand toolsPerforms electrical tests on incoming parts as defined in the QSOP or RIPCreate Non-Conforming Material Reports on discrepant materialOther duties as assignedWhat You Bring to the Table

Required

Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics to determine dimensions and tolerance specifications per Geometric Dimension & Tolerance (GD&T)Ability to work under pressure for throughput while maintaining quality standardsProficient with basic measurement tools such as calipers, pin gauges, micrometers, etcGeneral proficiency with Microsoft Word and ExcelTraining in Metrology (or equivalent) is a plusStrong attention to detail is requiredAbility to work well with other Inspectors, Quality Control personnel and EngineersPreferred

Associates degree in Electronics or Engineering or relatedOne year of experience in a production facility
