Position Summary:

The Inspector NDE II (RT) performs inspections with supervision and mentoring. Qualified to set up and calibrate equipment and interpret and evaluate results as per applicable codes, standards, and specifications. Should be familiar with technique limitations. Organize and report the results. Should exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of trainees and Level I personnel. Inspects components, assemblies, and related paperwork to ensure compliance with contract specifications. Ensures that no non-conforming or rejected product gets shipped to the end user or customer. Focused on providing the highest quality products to customers. Second shift position.

Production quality and efficiency using appropriate tools and equipment, qualified to perform special processes as neededUtilize the drawings and specifications to develop a plan for basic manual inspections.Evaluate parts to ensure that they meet the specified requirements per the inspection plans.Complete the inspection step on the router to properly indicate pass/fail and note the time to ensure the inspection results are traceability to the appropriate inspectorKnowledge of proper inspection techniques required to obtain accurate results.Perform dimensional inspection on precision machined products and assemblies unassisted.Follow instructions - oral and/or written

Can properly read all blueprint and work instructionsWill provide instruction and guidance to employees assigned to assist and as required, will participate in training of welders and other employees of the department of lesser classification.Performs other duties as assigned by the Quality Control Supervisor or his/her designate.Safety & House-keeping

To qualify for this position, an individual must possess the knowledge, training, experience and abilities required.

Education and Training

Technical Trades School in Welding or InspectionHigh school diploma or GEDNDT Level II Certification in RT per ASNT SNT-TC-1AExperience:

NDT Training with required hours (80).NDT Experience in total hours (1600).Hours can be verified and recorded per ASNT SNT-TC-1A.Other:

Must be willing to work overtime as required.Local travel may be required.Second shift positionSkills:
