This is a full time position working night shift in the Telemetry unit at Northwest Medical Center.

The Telemetry unit offers a fast-paced, complex care area that enables an enhanced development of skill set and competence. Nurses use highly evolved management skills to deliver high quality, safe, and compassionate care . They: evaluate assigned patients and formulate plans of care, implement and document nursing care, promote patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Nurses assist in procedures such as cardioversions and transesophageal echocardiograms. All our nurses are ACLS certified and every new-to-Tele nurse receives Basic EKG training as part of initial training. Telemetry has a highly diverse and dynamic work environment that yields an independent and progressive nurse with augmented skill set and critical thinking abilities.

Plans, directs, and evaluates the overall nursing care and functions in a particular nursing unit or during an assigned shift. Coordinates the activities of the unit and directs, organizes, and assigns work. Assesses, monitors, and educates on patient care. Institutes emergency procedures as necessary. Associate's degree in nursing required. Bachelors degree preferred. At least 3-5 years of clinical experience. Licensure as a registered nurse.
