Senior Grants Manager

Overview:

Our New Orleans based Community Planning & Resilience Division includes disaster recovery experts, certified planners, economists, and GIS technicians who provide diverse expertise in support of our clients. Our portfolio includes projects within housing, economic development, community engagement, disaster recovery and grants management. Our mission is to assist our clients to bring equitable, catalytic change through efficient project management, good data, sound planning practices, and stakeholder involvement.

GCR is seeking a Senior Grants Manager with a background in disaster recovery, community resilience, and federal grants management to work on current and upcoming projects. The Senior Grants Manager lead and support various types of projects, including CDBG, CDBG-DR, CDBG-NDR, HOME, FEMA or other federal grant administration, disaster recovery analytics and planning, economic development, housing policy, and neighborhood development.

General Responsibilities:Lead and support the delivery of services to clients.Draft plans, reports, and assessments based on research and analysis.Research and analyze federal regulations.Support the development of administrative and programmatic policies and procedures.Develop tools, forms, and templates to support clients’ adherence to applicable regulations.Monitor federal grantee and subrecipient activity for compliance with federal regulations.Conduct research and analysis for clients, stakeholders and the general public.Draft documents, memos, letters, and other formal communications to clients.Required Skills and Experience:

Minimum of three (3) years of experience working on one or more of the following types of projects: federal grant programs targeted towards investment in disaster recovery, neighborhoods, housing, economic development, infrastructure or the environment, including CDBG, CDBG-DR, CDBG-NDR, HOME, or FEMA.Strong analytical skills and capable of retrieving, analyzing and synthesizing data in a meaningful way.Thorough knowledge of federal grant program regulations.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and a strong commitment to team environment.Ability to meet project milestones and delivery schedules.Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

Managing or supporting the management of federally-funded economic development, housing, or public infrastructure programs.Previous local or state government work experience.Ability and willingness to travel.Education/Certification

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of relevant experience.
