In this position, you will be responsible for router/switch/firewall configuration and security management of an environment that includes networking equipment from several different manufacturers, as well as Windows/Linux servers, databases, VMware and security hardware & software. The network includes local and geographically dispersed LAN enclaves connected by WAN links.
You will be part of a team that builds, maintains, and develops enhancements for a large, complex set of geographically disperse Information Technology (IT) systems. You will plan and design network components/configurations to ensure that resources (hardware/software) are in place to enable the team to monitor and manage the IT system infrastructure and all processes and components related to these systems (both hardware and software).
In addition, you will engineer solutions for expanding capacity, improving response time, and streamlining network operations throughout the internal and operational systems, will monitor and analyze mission critical networks and servers, and will set up, manage, and maintain security management and application performance optimization functions across internal and customer systems.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
We are actively seeking experienced Network Engineers to join our team. If you have a minimum of 10 years’ experience and are DoD 8140 Compliant with a minimum of a Security+ Certification, we encourage you to apply. Additional certifications such as CISCO CCNA, CCNP, or Juniper JNCIA are a plus. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant disciplines is preferred.
Minimum Requirements
Possess a TS/SCI clearance with appropriate polygraph.Work onsite 100% of the time.Provide analysis, root cause diagnosis, and troubleshooting for routers, switches, and firewalls.Familiarity with hardware/software from Cisco Systems.Experience with various vendor networking products (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.).Ability to provide after-hours support for network administration, operations, and maintenance issues.Responsibilities and preferred experience include
Network Administration and Support:
Provide network administration support for development, deployment, and problem identification and remediation of the enterprise network environment.Monitor and correct network issues promptly.Communicate with users and publish status updates during system outages.Perform upgrades and routine network operations and maintenance (O&M)Proficiency in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.Strong understanding of Juniper networking devices, including Junos OS.Experience with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
Network Security:
Knowledge of network security best practices, including access control lists (ACLs), firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).Ability to design and implement secure network architectures.Execute processes for managing information assurance vulnerability alerts (IAVAs).Conduct system security scanning and remediation. Extend IAVA patches and security updates to designated sites.
Network Automation and Scripting:
Experience with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python scripts) to streamline network management tasks.Ability to write and modify scripts for network configuration and monitoring.
Project Management and Enhancements:
Plan and implement IT/network enhancements.Undertake project work related to network infrastructure improvements.
Documentation and Technical Assistance:
Ability to document network designs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.Provide technical assistance to other work groups involved in overlapping projects.Collaborate with IT service provider teams to align with customer requirements.
System Analysis and Enhancements:
Analyze existing network and server configurations.Develop plans for system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.Propose, design, test, and install new capabilities within the environment.
Leadership and Reporting:
Provide written and in-person status updates to leadership.Oversee the development and maintenance of technical data, including rack elevations and installation instructions.Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders.

Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $115110 - $195660
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
