Together, we lead and leave a positive impact on societies, companies, and people around the world.You will join our Environment & Health DivisionAs our new Sustainability/Decarbonization Consultant, you will be part of the Transformational Sustainability Service Line (TSSL) in Ramboll’s Environment & Health Division. Our group consists of energetic, caring individuals who are passionate about helping Ramboll’s clients tackle their most challenging problems related to climate change and sustainability. The TSSL consults with clients across various industries on a range of topics, using technical analyses, including carbon emissions, to inform our client’s sustainability approach in areas as varied as: carbon strategy; corporate sustainability initiatives; climate risk evaluation; climate action planning; environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy. The individual we seek will: work in multi-disciplinary teams; analyze and communicate information; and work cooperatively to guide decision-making. The successful candidate also has a commitment to mentoring and developing junior staff.Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:Delivering sustainability and decarbonization analyses, with an emphasis on carbon accounting (scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG inventories) and climate reporting (CDP, TCFD), science-based targets (SBTi), net-zero strategies, and roadmapsProviding subject matter expertise and technical leadership on carbon accounting and decarbonizationAdvising clients on various GHG accounting methodologiesEnsuring projects deliver quality results to clients and adhere to scope, schedule, and budgetDesigning and developing technical analyses, including scope 3 assessmentsCritically reviewing and interpreting regulations related to sustainability (e.g., pending SEC Climate Rules) and voluntary standards, guidance, and reporting frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol, ISO 14064 series, PAS 2060 carbon neutrality, Science-based targets initiative (SBTi) guidance)Assisting clients in voluntary greenhouse gas and sustainability reporting activities, in alignment with standards and frameworks including CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board, Global Reporting Index, GRESB and others.Your starting point for constant growthFrom the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is:B.S./M.S./Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related discipline1-3 years of sustainability and decarbonization experience1-3 years of consulting experienceSubject matter expertise in GHG inventory calculations, methods and standardsExperience calculating scope 1-3 GHG emissions inventories per the GHG ProtocolStrong spreadsheet and database skillsStrong written/verbal communication, problem-solving and organization skillsInitiative, good judgement, and strong prioritization skillsAbility to work independently to a deadlineAbility to manage and prioritize competing stakeholder interestsPreferred Skills include:Experience developing GHG Targets, especially SBTiCertifications from standard setters like WRI, ISO, GHGP etc.Voluntary and/or Mandatory GHG VerificationExperience with audit or assurance engagementsAbility to explain technical information to all project stakeholdersFormal training in GHG Inventories, such as graduate level training or professional certificationFamiliarity with voluntary climate change and sustainability methodologies and reporting frameworks (e.g., GHGP, TCFD, CDP, SASB, GRI, GRESB, PCAF)Experience completing life cycle assessments or product carbon footprintsExperience with client and project management, including development of project scopes, coordination and delegation of work, and management of budget and schedule.Welcome to our Environment & Health DivisionRamboll develops innovative, scientifically sound solutions that help increase livability by reducing pollution and restoring natural environments. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annual base salary between $75,000 and $80,000. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, including experience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.How to applyApply online.
