The
Senior Brand Manager
will play a leading role in shaping a greater brand presence in the market for the largest product category at the #1 Hispanic Perishable Foods company. The role will manage and perform key leadership activities in marketing for our dairy product category to include strategic analysis, manage the development and execution of marketing campaigns to bolster brand awareness and loyalty. The role will be responsible for forecasting, analyzing and monitoring market performance data in alignment with business objectives, P&L management, SKU rationalization, managing projects through various stages of development. The role will require relationship building and collaboration with cross-functional teams (Sales, R&D, Finance, Business Intelligence, Regulatory and Packaging, etc.) to coordinate, advise, and execute on initiatives and brand plans to drive volume, demand, and profitability for the organization.
Areas of Success:
Leadership in planning and executing marketing plans for category/segment in alignment with the stated budget
Identifying category opportunities for consumption, promotion, merchandising, and development
Understand brand equity and manage brand positioning to drive velocity and increase customer distribution
Anticipate, identify and analyze consumer and market trends and opportunities to maximize Cacique's competitive position
Turn consumer insights into actionable plans to improve brand performance, market growth
Sales and customer interaction to understand customer needs and opportunities
Portfolio Optimization: SKU rationalization, pricing reviews and recommendations
Financial Management: Understand the category budgets and business plan objectives, tracking, and evaluating returns on product, customer, and category plans
Lead the development of category strategies and plans including annual operating plans for the category
Prepare for and participate in on-going joint sales & marketing planning process
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field required, Master's degree preferred
5 - 7 years of experience in a category/brand management role in a CPG company required
Command of understanding and interpreting syndicated data from IRI or Nielsen; Mintel experience a plus
Demonstrated financial skills to include basic analysis.
Strong communication skills and ability to effectively present to and lead large group discussions
Experience in the food industry a plus
Demonstrated ownership mindset by taking initiative, steering actions and results with internal and external cross-functional teams
Channel an entrepreneurial spirit and have a growth mindset; strong desire to win as a team
Ability to lead and facilitate key customer interactions
Ability to demonstrate and apply critical thinking
