Our client, a Maritime systems and maintenance engineering company, is looking to bring on a Naval Architect to their team. This position is a hybrid role with 4 days onsite based at the USCG HQ in Washington, DC. This individual will perform design review and assessment of structural viability for the USCG boat fleet.

Primary responsibilities are below:

* Perform engineering, design, and development of shipbuilding specifications, drawings, acquisition and program documents

* Perform evaluations of structural analysis to ensure compliance with government and industry standards

* Conduct hydrostatic calculations and assessments (weight estimates and stability assessments)

* Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA)* Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine, Ocean, Civil or Mechanical Engineering

* A minimum of 3 years of experience with vessel design, construction, and repair
