Trident Seafoods is the largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company in North America. Species harvested and processed by Trident include virtually every commercial species of salmon, whitefish, and crab harvested in the North Pacific and Alaska.Summary:

The Operational Excellence Director will be a key player supporting the Domestic Value Add and International Supply Chain Teams. The Operational Excellence Director will be responsible for developing and deploying the Trident Performance System (TPS) to drive Operational Excellence in the Domestic Value Add and International plants. This position will be responsible for designing and leading the Supply Chain transformation with a goal of improved safety, quality, cost, productivity, service, and employee engagement.This position will be located in Seattle, Washington.Reporting Relationships:Reports directly to the VP of USVA Operations.Key Responsibilities:Develops and deploys the TPS strategy and TPS pillar roadmap across the Domestic Value Add and International plants.Establishes TPS deployment plans and leads the execution of the plans.Builds skills and capabilities on the TPS methods and tools.Identifies opportunities to enhance efficiencies, streamline processes, and leverage resources to improve cost structure.Provides project management support to all operations as needed.Ensures standardization and proper utilization of TPS across all facilities.Ensures successful Kaizen events by ensuring commitment to the process.Ensures SCUBA savings and other KPI targets are achieved for current year.Works with leadership and facilities to set next year's budgeted SCUBA targets.Tracks and monitors TPS deployment progress and provides regular status updates.Makes TPS deployment progress visible to company-wide Supply Chain team.Ensures Op-Ex Leadership roles are covered at each facility.Additional Responsibilities:Oversees the initiatives and completion of work assigned to teams of employees in the achievement of organizational goals.Provides leadership through influence in a matrixed organization structure.Teaching and training of TPS concepts, tools, and methodologies.Effectively collaborates and builds strong relationships with all USVA facility functions.Be continuously connected to the operations sites, be aware of best practices and drive best practice sharing.Partners with other TPS Pillar Leads to support the Operational Excellence program.Engages and educates the Alaska operations on the value of TPS.Performs other responsibilities and tasks as assigned.Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs.Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented.This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $170k to $185k.Trident Seafoods offers a comprehensive and quality benefits package. Minimum Requirements:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or related Technical field.Minimum 10 years' experience in an Operations Management or Continuous Improvement Management position.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Ability to generate reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of employees and senior management of the organization.Preferred Qualifications:TPM, Lean or Six Sigma preferred.Fishing industry experience preferred.SAP experience preferred.Work Environment (includes travel/on-call):Varied- from loud, wet factory environments, requiring the use of PPE, to offices and conference rooms. Extensive travel, including extended stays (up to 3 months). Travel is approx. 70%.Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. Work in factories requires the ability to climb stairs, ladders, walk significant distances (200 meters).Mental Activities:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use independent judgment, discretion and decision making.Work authorizations:This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
