Mammography Technologists to join our expanding Diagnostic Team .

This role will acquire Mammography images which are used for medical diagnoses and treatment. These Mammography images are interpreted by a Radiologist board-certified in Mammography to identify breast abnormalities. The Mammography Technologist works under direct supervision of higher-level personnel. There are full-time and part-time positions available which include shifts on days, nights, and weekends.Duties & Responsibilities:Performs routine Mammography Imaging exams and proceduresUtilizes department clinical protocols to obtain optimal quality imagingObtains detailed history from patient and medical recordEducates patients on breast careNavigates electronic medical record and other information systems utilized to process imagingSchedules patients for exams and assists with some regulatory clerical functionsPerforms all quality control functions related to mammography equipmentAssists in training and education of Mammography studentsParticipates in the enforcement of Radiation safety practicesResponds to patient and/or staff service and patient experience issues.Adheres to regulatory standards such as MQSA, The Joint Commission, ACR, IDPH and Infection Control policyReports equipment failures and supply shortages as neededPerforms all other related duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications Requirements:High school graduate or equivalent.Current/Valid registration or certification in medical radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).Current/Valid licensure in medical radiography by the State of Illinois (IEMA).Modality specific certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), in Mammography.Current/Valid American Heart Association BLS CPR certificationOur full-time positions are benefits eligible.
