Saint Alphonsus also has an intricate system of health and wellness services that extend into the communities around our region.The Saint Alphonsus Medical Group has primary care and specialty care physicians throughout the region that are focused on keeping care close to home. Our Virtual Monitoring & Care initiatives use telemedicine to reach out to patients who are homebound or in rural areas that lack mobility or access to healthcare centers and services. Through audio and/or visual means, healthcare providers are able to remotely assess, monitor, instruct, educate and treat patients who typically would not be able to travel to receive services. These community-based services, combined with the advanced critical care available at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, provide residents with more comprehensive, convenient and accessible health and wellness care, and support our mission to improve the health of our communities.The Saint Alphonsus Trauma Center has a Level II Trauma Center designation by the Time Sensitive Emergency System. This validates that a hospital is fully equipped and prepared to provide care for patients with major traumatic injuries. Trauma Centers have dedicated physicians, staff and resources to provide specialist medical and nursing care including emergency medicine, trauma surgery, critical care, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, vascular surgery, anesthesiology, and radiology.POSITION PURPOSE

Serves as a member of the regional executive leadership team charged with the creation of regional strategies that reflect the needs of the market area and the priorities of Trinity Health. Collaborates with regional executives, system office colleagues and other RHM Presidents to achieve RHM, regional and system objectives. Seeks out, embraces and capitalizes on the advantages of regional and system resources, diversity, scale, replication opportunities, people and intellectual capital. Shares accountability for the achievement of regional performance metrics, including regional development.Region Health Ministry (RHM) Direction:

Responsible and accountable for executive leadership and directly supervises RHM senior management team ensuring the achievement of financial, operational and strategic plans with a focus on excellence in personalized care in a variety of delivery settings. Champions change, operational improvement and growth initiatives - seeks out and employs effective change management and performance improvement techniques and tools.Regional Health Ministry (RHM) Accountability and Responsibility:

The RHM Presidents report to and are accountable to the Regional President and CEO. The RHM Presidents are accountable for the selection, evaluation and overall success of the senior leadership team within assigned RHM.Strategic Thinking:

Leads the formation of the RHM vision and strategic plan and the development and achievement of its goals and objectives. Ensures RHM vision and operational plan are aligned with Regional and system strategies and objectives. Oversees the analysis of community needs and the development of supportive programs and services, especially for the poor, populations at risk and the underserved.Clinical Delivery:

Facilitates the development and implementation of integrated clinical service delivery platforms within assigned RHM and ensures integration and alignment within the region. Champions physician alignment strategies that lead to growth within the RHM and regional affiliations. Ensures the coordination of actions and realization of service efficiencies that drive increased quality and responsiveness to marketplace needs.Mission and Diversity:

Leads applicable governance process and works with community leaders to advance the mission of the hospital’s strategic and philanthropic plans. Actively participates in associations and groups within the region. Establishes and maintains relationships with key community and state leaders to facilitate the accomplishment of regional and system goals and objectives.Regulatory and Compliance:

Must possess a thorough knowledge of healthcare management principles and techniques as normally obtained through a Master's Degree in Health Administration or a related field and a minimum of ten (10) years of management experience, including experience as the Chief Operating Officer and/or President/Chief Executive Officer of an integrated health care entity.Advanced business and executive leadership skills to develop new or enhance existing clinical and operational strategies, business plans, policies and programs.Extensive knowledge and understanding of current health care trends and practices.Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and business acumen.Must be able to operate effectively in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.Ability to identify, create and foster an organizational culture that is supportive of and builds upon the Trinity Health faith-based traditions and vision for a healing ministry.Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals and values of Trinity Health.PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
