Consulting Associate, Climate (Entry Level)ERM

is seeking a motivated

Consulting Associate

to join our consulting team in

either Washington, DC, Philadelphia, PA or Richmond, VA .

In this role, you will work on a variety of interesting technical climate change and corporate sustainability services for clients in the energy, power, chemical, and technology sectors throughout the mid-Atlantic region. We help clients, including global companies, electric and natural gas utilities, and financial institutions, develop and implement climate change programs across a broad range of industry sectors and contribute to climate, clean energy, and clean transportation policy development.

ERM delivers a wide range of climate change services including decarbonization strategy development, creation of Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon inventories, Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD) analysis and reporting, strategy development, policy and regulatory analysis, target setting, and benchmarking. This is an excellent career opportunity to work with an expert consulting team on challenging climate advisory projects for large industrial and global clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working collaboratively within a large team to provide technical deliverables to inform our clients and project teams.

Implement climate change projects, such as greenhouse gas inventories, emission reductions, energy efficiency, public disclosure and verification.

Conduct client site assessments to assess site conditions, conduct leak detection and repair monitoring, offer stack testing support, or other as-needed assistance.

Implement environmental management systems and processes.

Prepare recommendations and reporting of results.

Perform environmental compliance audits and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Perform multiple tasks within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.

Interact and maintain successful relationships with clients, ERM employees, and subcontractors.

REQUIREMENTS:

BS in chemical, environmental, or mechanical engineering or related degree; MS and/or PE preferred.

Recent graduate to 3 years of direct consulting or industry experiences involving carbon or emission inventory support, product carbon foot printing, life cycle analysis, and/or Clean Air Act Permitting and compliance.

Strong hands-on spreadsheet and database comprehension.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed.

Valid Driver's License.

Local or regional candidates preferred.

For the Consulting Associate, Climate position, we anticipate the annual base pay of $66,000 – $83,434 USD. An employee’s pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.

We also may have instances where compensation may be outside of the range, based on the factors noted above.

This job is also eligible for an annual discretionary based performance bonus.
