AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect Tech Acceleration Solutions (TAS) team partners with customers, and AWS Tech builders to design and build of some of the most scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures and solutions. AWS TAS Solutions Architects build innovative solutions with Tech Builders to help customers accelerate their adoption of AWS cloud with minimal effort.

Solution Architects in the TAS organization collaborate with customers, AWS Global Sales and Tech builders, to minimize customers effort to use and integrate AWS Cloud services.

They apply business and technical skills to rapidly design well-architected solutions that help customers accelerate their adoption of AWS cloud.

They continuously benchmark to elevate the innovation, quality and delivery speed of their solution's.

They create, share and reuse artifacts to increase their and their stakeholders' productivity

They are known for high velocity assessment, prioritization, and build of quality, innovative solution's.

They continuously seek out the voice of the customer to guide their prioritization, and assess and increase their effectiveness.

They actively contribute to solution design enhancement initiatives.

Key job responsibilities

You will work with internal stakeholders to align priorities and collaborate with AWS field staff to identify and work on opportunities to improve productivity through building new tools, enablement content, and customer-facing artifacts including AWS Solutions, blog posts, and proofs of concept.

Your time will be a varied mix of all elements of solutions design and engineering including software development, testing, documentation, customer presentations and demos, and support.

Outside of the main responsibilities of the team, we have a strong culture of sharing knowledge; you will take part in regular show and tell activities and internal/external presentations about your areas of expertise.

We meet regularly for social events and team retrospectives; team cohesion is vital to the success of what we do.

Basic Qualifications

2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries

Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud

Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $204,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
