Laborers/Groundsmen
for our PNW/NW contracts. We are looking for individuals that want/willing to travel. We have several divisions with work available all over the PNW/NW areas. Inquire about the areas you'd like to work in the most!We have several divisions; Medford, Bend, Prineville, The Dalles, Oregon, also in Idaho and Vancouver, Washington.All divisions travel to where the work is, throughout the year according to weather and availability.TRAVEL IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION.We will be servicing a majority of the PNW and NW with our current and upcoming contracts.Telecommunication Construction Laborers, in this role you will support all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects. Duties will include general labor duties related to telecommunications construction as directed by the Foreman/Supervisor.Services may include placing poles, anchors and guys, aerial strand and cable, direct buried pipe, trenching cable, conventional and directional boring, placing underground conduit systems, performing inside wiring, cabling, and testing and maintenance services.Robinson Brothers Construction, LLC. is a utility construction company. We specialize in the installation of fiber optics and renewable energy.What You'll Do:Job Description Overview/Responsibilities:Hand dig using shovel, mechanical tools.Install and maintenance of underground telecommunications cabling.Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery.Working in congested or remote areas.Maintain visual and audible contact with other crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement.Perform general construction work under direction of Foreman/Supervisor.Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies.Learn all aspects of crew and assist the operator and foreman as assigned.Setup, preparation, and cleanup of construction sites.Develop an understanding of buried utilities.Lift heavy equipment and suppliesTRAVEL IS REQUIRED
What You'll Bring:Position Qualifications:Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and Motor Vehicle Report.Possess a valid drivers license or be eligible and willing to obtain the required license for the position.Clean driving record (no more than 2 tickets in the last 5 years)Basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment in a safe manner.Basic knowledge of and ability to hand tools and equipment in a safe manner.Class A CDL is a PLUS (Higher wage scales apply to CDL holders).Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc.Willing and able to work in all weather conditions.EAGER TO WORK AND WILLING TO TRAVEL??????? Preferred Qualifications: ???????Previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunication industry.Able to perform all duties in telecommunication construction.TRAVEL IS A MUST?????? Working Conditions:This is a full-time hourly position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week. This position operates in an outdoor environment and is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including extreme cold, rain, sleet, snow, humidity, high temperatures, and high wind. The outside work environment will vary throughout the day including changes in terrain, traffic, urban settings, and/or rural settings. This position may occasionally be exposed to natural gas and to the risk of electrical shock. Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels.Physical Requirements:The employee will need to have the ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours at a time), tolerate work in extreme weather conditions, speak and hear worksite safety instructions, withstand prolonged and repeated: lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, and feeling, crouching, and crawling. The employee will need to be able to regularly lift 75 pounds.
