The Principal Technical Surveillance Countermeasure Analyst will play a critical role in managing the company Technical Security Program through the implementation and administration of the company COMSEC, TEMPEST, Protected Distribution, Transmission Systems and Technical Surveillance programs.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform annual TEMPEST inspections of TEMPEST, PDS, and classified processing areas in accordance with the requirements in the Department of Energy (DOE) Technical Security Program.Integrate telecommunications security program requirements through evaluation and recommendation or application of equipment and processes across MSTS organizations and programs.Promote and encourage use of secure communications devices by employees to safeguard U.S. Government classified and unclassified sensitive information.Support secure network operations through equipment provisioning and employment for local and remote sites.Prepare, review, and comment on revisions to existing and proposed plans and procedures for COMSEC and TEMPEST activities for remote sites.Prepare awareness materials for briefings and presentations for cleared personnel as required.Prepare high level guidance supporting the MSTS Telecommunication Program to appointed officials for tailoring to mission and implementation.Provide direct leadership and management to personnel assigned to the North Las Vegas secure communications operation.Participate in the training and development of appointed program officials.Provide expertise for controlled cryptographic item (CCI) procurement.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent training and experience in a computer-related field and at least 8 years of related experience.Preferred: Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience in a Technical Security-related field and at least 8 years of related experience. A strong Technical Security background, as well as knowledge of COMSEC processes and procedures.Experience conducting TEMPEST inspections.Experience with classified environments.Experience with Protective Distribution Systems.Experience with Transmission Protection Systems.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.Strong commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and staying current with evolving cyber threats and security technologies.Possess considerable organization and project management skills.Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, sufficient enough to communication with co-workers, customers, write clear and concise reports, gather information, and collect information.Must be able to qualify for a TS/SCI clearance.Ability to use multiple electronic devices including standard office machines, cellular phones, and security appliances.The primary work location will be at the Losee Road facility in North Las Vegas, NV.Work schedule for this position will be 4/10's, Monday-Thursday (subject to change).Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.Must possess a valid driver's license.MSTS is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications.
