Description Vantage Ventures in the John Chambers College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University is seeking motivated recent graduates (within the past 12 months), to join our Startup Accelerator Program as (Hybrid) Temporary Startup Development Associates. This role is designed for entrepreneurial-minded students who are eager to scale their startups, particularly those incorporating technology and/or AI. What You'll Do Commit to working a minimum of 15 hours per week on your startup. Fully participate in the Vantage Ventures startup accelerator program. Regularly attend and actively engage in program activities, workshops, and mentorship sessions. Track and report progress on startup development milestones. Collaborate with peers, mentors, and advisors to refine business strategies. Contribute to the Vantage Ventures community by sharing insights and experiences Pay: $14.00/hour Length of Assignment: Approximately 8.5 months Work Hours: 15 hours per week Qualifications Associate degree in related field. A minimum of six (6) months of related experience. Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered. All qualifications must be met by the time of employment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship and startup development. Strong commitment to the growth and scalability of your startup. Ability to incorporate technology and/or AI into your startup. Willingness to receive feedback and adapt based on performance assessments. Program Duration Students can participate in the program for a maximum of two semesters. Performance and progress will be regularly assessed throughout the semester. Underperforming students may be dismissed from the program.
