Junior Engineer (Manufacturing)

Job Summary:

Dexian is seeking a Junior Engineer (Manufacturing) for an opportunity with a client located in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design, modeling, development and testing of a machine, structure or system
• Develops functional requirements
• Understands and applies standard engineering principles
• Creates simulations and prototypes to evaluate preliminary designs and test how a machine, structure or system operates
• Designs and tests components, and integrates components to produce final product
• Monitors quality of products and controls the efficiency of processes
• Evaluates a design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. Investigates root causes of failures to maintain quality and recommend improvements
• Perform document revisions and/or creations
• Revise BOMs in PLM system
• Draft and submit ECR's to release the above
• Meet with subject matter experts in R&D to understand product history to help understand procedure revisions
• Reversing procedures, disassemble various assemblies then reassemble to understand the procedure steps

Requirements:

• Experience writing technical documents
• Familiarity with PLM systems
• Experience performing change orders
• Proficiency with MS Word
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
• Strong mechanical aptitude
