Description

Union Pacific's wholly owned subsidiary, Loup Logistics, is looking for interns to support their various teams! Specific teams that are hiring include the Marketing, Sales, Pricing and Operations teams. As an intern, you will build knowledge and experience in our core business groups and their vision, business objectives, processes, systems, and services. You will have extensive contact with peers and interaction with senior leaders. There will also be an opportunity to put your leadership, technical skills, and business knowledge to immediate use through high value project assignments.

This position will be administered as a paid year round internship and provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced business environment with one of America's leading transportation and logistics companies. The work schedule is flexible and can be designed to accommodate the course commitments of the successful candidate. A flexible work schedule includes up to 25 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer months.

The estimated wage for this position is between $20.00 -$26.00 per hour. Final rate of pay will be based on several factors including year of study, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.

Accountabilities

Learn and perform core department business group work tasks, processes, and customer servicesPerform administrative support for department business group managersDevelop and execute project action plans and perform team assignmentsBuild and strengthen a network of professional contacts within departments and across the companyAssist with project management for various company initiatives and complete administrative tasks and special projectsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications - Required

College credits equivalent to one year toward an undergraduate or graduate degreeProficient verbal and written communication skillsBasic organization, prioritization and time/project management skillsQualifications - Preferred

College credits towards a degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain ManagementPhysical and Mental Job Requirements
