Job Summary

Job Description

Ensure applicable, consistent, and timely training of all manufacturing Automation and all warehouse personnel.

Develop and Deliver Training Programs:

  • Provide hands-on training and demonstrations to ensure employees understand the operation and maintenance of our automated systems and all warehouse department functions which includes Forklift operation and certification.

  • Create comprehensive training plans covering robotics, automation, control systems and forklift operation.

  • Conduct engaging workshops, hands-on sessions, and simulations to enhance employees’ understanding.

  • Collaboratively schedule and coordinate the training calendar with local warehouse management team. 

Technical Expertise:

  • Provide practical training on the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automation equipment as well as forklift

  • Certification.

  • Address common challenges faced by manufacturing staff when working with robots and automated systems.

  • Stay informed about advancements in automation technology and incorporate relevant updates into training materials.

  • Measures the ongoing effectiveness of relevant processes and systems related to the Training function within the warehouse deparmment. Inform local Trainer Manager of updates to systems or programs/ SOP’s as needed.

  • Perform on-going training needs assessments utilizing a variety of methods to include consultation with management and business performance metrics to identify new training opportunities. Measure key performance indicators (KPI) to determine training effectiveness and provide action plans to management on improvements

  • Comply with internal reporting processes set forth by Training Manager to track and record what is being accomplished during on-the-job training and classroom training sessions.

  • Develop and conduct personal training workshops delivered to onsite warehouse personnel. Provide general knowledge and/or specialized training of resources/ system programs and observation / feedback sessions.

  • Monitor onboarding of new warehouse employees to help prepare staff when additional business or hiring will require training resources.

Management responsibilities include: 

--Day-to-day operations of a group of Manufacturing Trainers.

--May have limited budgetary responsibility and usually contributes to budgetary impact.

--Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects and develops. 

--Recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies.

--Provide general guidelines and parameters for staff functioning. 

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

Forklift certification preferred

Work Experience

2 years’ experience in manufacturing

2 years’ experience with production/warehouse automation; operating and troubleshooting automated machines and robots

2 years’ experience operating forklifts

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Working knowledge of all areas of warehouse and multiple types of machinery preferred.

Demonstrated leadership abilities. Positive attitude and an effective communicator.

Willingness to engage and develop others.

Have the ability to multi task in a fast pace work environment.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office. Proficient in SAP & Catalyst.

Proficient to read, write, and speak in English.

Must be able to operate machinery within location.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience and/or Leadership / Training experience within a Medline Facility (i.e. Warehouse Supervisor, Lead and or Trainer, etc.)
