Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent role that offers an opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of industrial and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in HVAC systems, refrigeration, and carpentry, with a keen eye for safety and a knack for customer service. You will be in charge of performing diagnostics, identifying issues, and providing effective solutions that not only fix the problem but also decrease cost and improve efficiency.

Responsibilities:

As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be expected to:

1. Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for both commercial and industrial customers. Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems.
2. Work with blueprints and design specifications to install HVAC systems in commercial buildings and industrial settings.
3. Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections of refrigeration units, isolated heating and ventilating units, including boilers, gas and electrically operated air conditioning equipment, and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
4. Perform regular maintenance tasks such as replacing filters, lubricating parts, and checking the operation of thermostats and electronic switches.
5. Respond to emergency calls to troubleshoot and resolve HVAC and refrigeration issues.
6. Provide excellent customer service, educating clients on how to use and maintain their HVAC systems, and addressing any concerns or queries they might have.
7. Comply with all safety policies and procedures in the work area, including the use of protective equipment when necessary to prevent exposure to harmful substances.
8. Continually look for ways to decrease costs and improve efficiency in all HVAC systems.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC Technician or Refrigeration Technician.
2. Solid understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
3. Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
4. Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
6. Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
7. Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
8. Experience in performing diagnostics and repairs in a commercial or industrial setting.
9. Ability to work with HVAC systems of 5-15 tons.
10. Basic carpentry skills would be an added advantage.
