Job Description:

The Director in Global Product & Markets Information (GPMI) is part of the Fidelity Fund & Investment Operations group. Global Product & Market Information provides a few core functions: complex product onboarding and international markets registration with our various banking relationships. Complex product onboarding and international markets registration support Asset Management in ensuring all funds and clients

are ready to trade in international markets and various complex products by working with our counterparties, clearing banks, agent banks, and custodian banks to navigate know your customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) due diligence carried out. The team further coordinates ready to trade/ready to settle status with internal Fidelity business units to support trading readiness.
The Expertise We re Looking For

  • Bachelor s degree required 8+ years of experience in an investment operations role working with such entities as brokers, clearing banks, custodial and sub custodial relationships.
  • Experience with maintaining strong external and internal relationships, especially with legal, operations, and investment teams.
  • An experienced people manager.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize based on volume and complexity of work. Producing the ongoing productivity analysis for leadership to ensure the team has the capacity to meet the changing needs of our business partners and business.

The Purpose of Your Role

The Director will be joining the global team and will be working closely with their colleagues in Hong Kong and Ireland. The Director will provide oversight to the US teams working through varied fund, market and client launches while navigating and communicating to numerous interested stakeholders within Fidelity Fund & Investment Operations (FFIO) and Asset Management. In this role, you will manage the work, drive process improvement, and integrate the vision of a digital operating model for product and market readiness.

  • Excellent written / oral communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills. Ability to build strong relationships externally with industry partners and internally across legal, various product groups, investment services, trading operations, and other operational groups across Asset Management and FFIO
  • An experienced people manager with strong coaching and mentoring skills. The candidate will be focused on cross training, career growth and the upskilling of their operations team.
  • Able to think out of the box and display a strong operations risk mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast- paced environment & handle large volume of work.
  • Attention to detail and focused on a culture of continuous process improvement.
  • Strong understanding of investment operations and its interconnected functions such as trade operations, corporate actions, cash, custody services, etc.

  • To work with the GPMI Global leadership team to ensure that we are efficiently operating as a global team, utilizing the clock and our talent across the sites to ensure we provide timely and comprehensive updates and services to our FFIO teams and business partners.
  • Facilitate ready to trade and ready to settle status for Fidelity funds and clients to participate in various markets.
  • Act as a liaison with banking relationships on behalf of Fidelity for trading and settlement readiness.
  • Identify areas of process improvement to enhance our productivity and increase the level of automation within our processes.
  • Participate in industry led bodies to ensure Fidelity is aware and engaged in all upcoming market and regulatory changes.
