Job Summary
Oversee daily activities in the product division which may include: division analytics, inventory, vendor management (contracting, relations, and manufacturing), and/or sales support.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Establish the optimum level of inventory by meeting with management and marketing.
Create, monitor, adjust and communicate forecasts and priorities to vendors to meet business needs.
Manage surplus levels and obtain authorization to return surplus items.
Ensure the seamless delivery of finished goods and management of local finished goods inventory.
Oversee the locations and teams responsible for incoming shipments and product distribution (Medline branch or vendor location).
Coordinate inventory levels (surplus, stock transfers, returns, DEDs, slot holds) with branch to meet business needs.
Work closely with vendors to ensure on-time deliveries and manage and negotiate vendor supply agreements.
Review vendor issues (overbill notices, problem tickets, debit memos and credits).
Reconcile bills and blocked invoices to ensure accurate and prompt payment to vendors.
Assist internal Sales/ and or Product Support teams.
Responsible for the day-to-day activities and outcomes of a group of employees.
Hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.
Ensure department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are current and followed.
Required Experience:
Education & Relevant Work Experience
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 4 years of experience in business operations and/or supply chain management OR Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience in business operations and/or supply chain management
Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
Enterprise software experience (ex. SAP).
Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
