Energy Modeling (HVAC)

Job Overview: Boston based company is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in energy modeling for HVAC systems to join our client's rapidly expanding energy and sustainability consulting team. The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in conducting energy modeling and building analyses for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform energy modeling and building analyses using specialized software such as Trane Trace or equivalent.
  • Collect relevant data necessary for energy and cost analysis.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate modeling and analysis.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on modeling results to optimize energy efficiency.
  • Adapt to work with diverse property types and possess comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in building energy modeling.
  • Proficiency with a variety of HVAC systems and familiarity with ASHRAE standards and International Energy Code (IECC).
  • Strong report writing, computer, and internet skills.
  • Excellent communication and time management abilities.
  • Capability to meet deadlines and manage projects within budget constraints.
  • Must have over 5 years experience to be considered for this role.
  • Registration as an EIT (Engineer-In-Training) or PE is advantageous.
  • LEED AP credential is a plus.
