CDL A Local/Regional Intermodal Owner Operator- Savannah, GA

Gulf Winds is seeking Owner Operators for its location in Savannah, GA. Gulf Winds serves the container drayage, transloading, and domestic transportation industries and offers CDL-A owner operators consistently high volumes of work. Plus, you’ll stay close to your starting point, making your runs and home time dependable.

Compensation:

• Average Weekly Pay: $4,000 + FSC
  • Fuel surcharge paid off gross (% of load)
• Bonuses:
  • Sign on: $2,000 (paid in 2 installments over the first 2 weeks of employment)
  • Referral: $1,000 paid weekly at $125
  • Clean roadside inspection & Safety bonuses
    • $50 for Clean Level 3, $75 for Clean Level 2, $100 for Clean Level 1, $200 for Clean Level 1 + a CVSA decal issued to the truck, $300 for a Clean Level 1 + a CVSA decal issued on BOTH the truck & the chassis, $50/each decal for an inspection that has a violation BUT a CVSA decal(s) issued
• Additional pay for Hazmat and overweight

Home Time, Route and Schedule

• Home daily with one 2-day run per week
• Routes: local and regional, out and back from Savannah
• Level of touch: 75% drop and pick/hook

Equipment Requirements

• Any year of truck as long as it passes inspection

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CDL A License
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum 1-year verifiable tractor trailer driving experience in the last 10 years
• TWIC/HazMat not required but adds additional opportunities
• No more than three (3) moving violations within the last thirty-six (36) months.
• No more than two (2) preventable accidents within the last twenty-four (24) months
• Must be able to pass a FMCSA pre-hire drug screen and have no prior FMCSA positive drug and/or alcohol testing or refusals within the last 10 years
• Must be able to pass a previous employer and criminal background check. No misdemeanor in the last five (5) years or felony convictions in the last seven (7) years
• Must live within 60 Miles of Savannah, GA
