A Medline internship offers you real-world, hands-on experience where you can make a true impact. Covering a variety of business areas and needs, our internships are available to rising seniors in undergraduate programs. Engineered for personal and professional development, our summer program runs for ten weeks from early June through mid-August.
A Sales Intern at Medline will work closely with the Sales Division team members and will be exposed to multiple areas of the business, including marketing, sales, negotiation, quality assurance, operations, and financial strategies.
Job Description
The responsibilities of the position include:
- Shadow experienced sales professionals and learn sales techniques
- Assist in development and execution of product trials, conversions, and/or prime vendor implementations
- Collaborate and build effective relationships within accounts as well as with internal partners (Field Sales Reps, Management, and Product divisions)
- Assist with physical product conversion and executing clinical trials
- Gather data and information on customers
- Mentoring and networking opportunities with sales leadership
Qualifications:
- Junior standing with 3.0 minimum GPA preferred
- Previous internship experience in sales, customer service, marketing, and/or business preferred
- Ability to travel for field sales training and job shadowing (within state and out of state)
- Active interest in the Healthcare industry preferred
- Excellent organizational, planning, communication and follow-up skills required
- Excellent presentation skills for large and small groups
- Must have strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must have a bias toward action and be results oriented
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Unrestricted permanent US work authorization
