Armed Protective Security Officer - Dallas, TX

POSITION SUMMARY:Provide security for the personnel, property and visitors of Dallas County Courts and Tax Offices.PAY TRANSPARENCY/ COMPENSATION:$21.00 per hourRESPONSIBILITIES:Protect personnel and property in a professional mannerMeet and deal tactfully and politely with general public and visitorsEffectively and efficiently screen and process visitorsIdentify, report, delay or detain persons who violate rules and regulationsConduct internal and external roving foot patrolsComplete all reports and paperwork as requiredProvide first aid, CPR, and assist during emergencies as necessary.Must be able to wear protective body armor as a part of the duty uniform.Maintain mandated training requirements in accordance with company guidance.Maintain physical fitness, agility requirements, and weapons qualifications.Ensure safety requirements compliance and safe work practices.Support safety programs Participate in Quality and Process Improvement programs.Perform other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Must have successfully completed the state of Texas approved Armed Security Officer training coursesMust possess the required state of Texas permits and licensure such as the Commissioned officer Guard LicenseMust be a U.S. Citizen or Legally authorized to work in the U.S.Must be able to read, write and speak EnglishMust be 21 or olderMust have valid state driver's licenseMust possess a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.Must meet all medical and physical standards as outlined in the contractMeet extensive background screening and suitability requirements; no arrest recordMust pass a drug screeningWORKING CONDITIONS:Work is typically based in a busy indoor environment or outdoor parking garage environment and subject to frequent interruptions. This is a Part-Time opportunity. The business work hours consist of shifts Saturday and Sunday from 8P.M.- 8A.M. Two 12-hour overnight shifts, where the individual will be relieved at 8A.M. Monday morning.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to walk unassisted for a minimum of 300 yards, climb stairs and be able to lift and carry 20 pounds. May be subject to outdoor conditions including extreme temperatures and weather or warm temperatures indoors. Subject to high noise levels. Must be able to wear protective vest at all times during your shift. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, or stretching throughout the workday. Must meet all physical and psychological standards as required by the contract.
