Product/Test Engineer

Product Test Engineers join almost all of NXP's Business Lines, including: MCU/MPU, Automotive Processors, Advanced Analog, Connectivity & Security, Edge Processing, and Operations.

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations

Responsible for all aspects of characterizing, qualifying and releasing products in high volume manufacturing.Participate in new product/technology core team to define: validation and characterization, cost structure and test/manufacturing strategy for the product/technology.Work entails coordination and interfacing with diverse areas and functions internal and external to NXP to launch new products into production.Ensure products released to manufacturing meet schedule, test time, cost and yield requirements.Detailed understanding of production test, reliability and qualification methodologies.Own and drive product characterization - create characterization plans, define matrix lots, perform statistical data analysis and deliver reports on performance to specification.Drive cost reduction and yield enhancement projects interfacing with internal and external factories.Assist with customer issues and quality incidents.Help drive product/test standardization, solutions and methodologies to improve product cycle time and cost.Job Qualifications:

Working towards BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similarSelf-motivated team player that can work with various cross functional teamsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge and experience in the following is considered a plus: statistical data analysis, integrated circuits in CMOS technology, automatic test equipment (ATE), design for test (DFT) techniques, programming and application of microcontrollers.Ability to organize assignments and schedule time.Analytical & diagnostics skills.Innovative problem solver and lateral thinker.
