Senior Designer - Water/Wastewater Team - Fayetteville, ARHalff is seeking a Senior Designer to join our Water & Wastewater team in the Fayetteville, Arkansas office. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CADD design and drafting within the water/wastewater/municipal infrastructure industry. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple projects, collaborate effectively with engineers and project managers, and produce high-quality design documents. Responsibilities include creating and/or overseeing the creation of detailed technical drawings and plans, working closely with engineers and other design professionals to ensure precision and accuracy.

Required Qualifications:

Drafting Certificate or Associate's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field is required.

Minimum of 6 years of experience as a CADD Technician/Designer. A focus on water and wastewater and/or municipal infrastructure projects is preferred.

Excellent proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently as a self-motivator and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or other related field.

10 or more years of experience as a CADD Technician/Designer, with a focus on water and wastewater and/or municipal infrastructure projects.

Strong understanding of Water and Wastewater infrastructure design industry standards, principles, and practices.

Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to water and wastewater infrastructure.

Experience with GIS software and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for assisting in the planning and design of Water and Wastewater improvement projects.

Develop or oversee the development of detailed drawings and plans using CADD software AutoCAD and Civil3D.

Work as part of a design team under the direct supervision of a PE.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior CADD Technicians.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and standards, promoting innovative solutions to meet project challenges.

Assist in the preparation of technical reports, cost estimates, and project schedules.

Participate in meetings and site visits to better understand project requirements and ensure designs are accurately implemented in the field.

Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure designs are accurate and feasible.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has specific experience in Water/Wastewater project design.
