Major Responsibilities:Coordinates and performs support functions for the RIS/PACS department.

Provides basic RIS/PACS, Pacs Cube, and Life Image training to end users.Utilizes the RIS to generate department performance reports and productivity measures. Utilizes Microsoft Office products to produce and format reports for distribution.Promptly and properly responds to both telephone and electronic support requests from end-users in RIS and provides appropriate support as needed. Will triage support to RIS/PACS Administrator or IS support when needed.Assists with the notification and implementation of down time procedures and clean up.Assists in maintaining an orderly inventory and in arranging for the purchase of needed office supplies within the RIS/PACS office.Assists the RIS/PACS Administrator with equipment inventory and minor equipment support.Assists the RIS/PACS Administrator with administrative support such as maintaining department minutes, the distribution of reports, and coordinating meetings and training sessions.Provides support to the RIS/PACS department with the monitoring of duplicate records and exams that are found in the exception handler. Works with appropriate users to merge records and clean up the RIS exception list.Performs other duties and tasks as necessary for the department.

In the role of the LDCT Navigator, is responsible for coordination of the functions and related job duties of the LDCT Lung Cancer Screening Program.

Facilitates the entry of patients into the diagnostic and/or treatment system and helps to coordinate their follow-up imaging care.Ensures that patient information and findings are properly uploaded into the ACR LDCT Lung Cancer Screening database.Reviews follow-up reports and coordinates the continuation of care with the patient and their referring physician.Assists with tracking metrics and quality indicators for diagnosing and treating promptly and effectively. Works with the system navigators and others to collect and track outcomes.Develops relationships with all providers including but not limited to pulmonary, oncology, primary care, and radiologist. Serves as a liaison between the patient, providers, and radiology to ensure the appropriate follow-up exams are scheduled accordingly (annual screening, 3 and 6 months follow-up).Works within the LDCT Lung Cancer Screening model in EPIC. Runs reports and extrapolates data from Epic to ensure that lung cancer screening patients are following appropriate follow-up recommendations per the radiologists.Assists the referring physicians' offices with scheduling of LDCT Lung cancer screening exams and answers any questions that are needed to ensure that correct scheduling is followed.Assists the lead CT to ensure that scheduled LDCT scans are scheduled appropriately and that regulatory requirements are being met.Participates in ACR LDCT Webx and seminars to ensure that regulatory requirements are being met and that our database is up to date.Works with the clinical lead LDCT radiologist to assist with submitting patient cases to the tumor board for review.Helps to coordinate the upload of LDCT patients' prior imaging for comparison review by the radiologists.

Experience in a hospital or health care setting with a minimum of 3 years experience working in Radiology.2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.3. Excellent attention to detail and highly organized.Preferred:1. Minimum one year of medical terminology experience.2. Knowledge of computer/windows applications.3. Recent experience in the workings of the RIS.4. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.OR equivalent combination of the above.III. Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:Work is considered sedentary.
