The primary duty of the Merchandiser / Sales Coordinator position is to handle all permanent and promotional POS items, which includes installing and replacing all POS items. This position designs and builds all promotional and decorative displays to increase volume and maximize brand visibility. This position will also pull vacation and/or relief routes for Sales Representatives on an as-needed basis.Fill in for sales representatives (vacation, open position, etc.) as neededBuild healthy business relationships and establish good communication with our retail customersWork collaboratively with customers to establish their needs and design solutions that fulfill themLeverage relationships with accounts to sell in new brandsEngage in regular call frequency on assigned retail accounts to sell product, gain distribution, merchandise, and stock productPromote Ben E. Keith brands at retail through promotions, consumer education, and merchandisingExecute all company goals to enhance sales, distribution, shelf space, display coverage, tap share, and merchandising of all brands carried by Ben E. KeithBuild product displays; execute placement of signage and other merchandising material to ensure maximum brand visibility in all assigned retail accounts; maintain the "Look of the Leader"Remain aware of and execute basic marketing activity as it relates to our sales channels (i.e. ad features, out-of-stocks, retailer policies and concerns)Identify merchandising opportunities at accounts and make recommendations to customersRegularly replace merchandising material at customer accounts to coincide with marketing programsEnsure maximum visibility of Ben E. Keith products at account (beer shelves, beer caves, displays, etc.) and that products are priced appropriatelyOrganize and refill back stock, coolers, beer shelves, and displaysMaintain designated back stock area at customer location; ensure area is organized and free of trashMaintain product freshness standards in assigned retail accounts by monitoring and rotating stock regularlyRegularly monitor inventory to ensure proper stock levels and rotationAttend daily meetings (morning and/or afternoon) with Area Sales Manager to discuss market opportunities and challengesCommunicate all sales and merchandising opportunities or challenges (product placements, out of stocks, out of code), as well as any competitive activity, to Area Sales ManagerProject a friendly, professional image at all timesPrioritize multiple, competing prioritiesAttend meetings as requiredOperate all company equipment safely and in a manner consistent with company policyEnsure company equipment is in safe, working condition; report any incidents or unsafe conditions immediately to supervisorMaintain and keep clean assigned company vehicle at all timesComplete assigned surveys (for example, number of Ben E. Keith retail displays compared to competition) in order to gauge internal results versus competitionPerform other duties as assignedJob Qualifications:

Draught experience preferredAbility to learn and effectively use the handheld sales unitBasic computer skills preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) preferredAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAble to coordinate multiple activities and follow through with commitmentsGood oral and written communication skills and participate well in a team environmentMust be highly motivated and results-oriented, with a strong attention to detailMust be organized with the ability to handle multiple prioritiesAbility to perform basic mathematical calculationsMust be able to read and write EnglishAbility to move products weighing up to 165 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hearMust have a valid Texas driver's license with clean driving recordMust be 18 yrs. or older to applyHigh school graduate or GED requiredBen E.
