Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking highly motivated and experienced Senior Cloud Architect to join our team to support our government clients.

The Senior Cloud Architect will have extensive experience in cloud architecture, DevOps, and a deep understanding of cloud computing technologies and services. As a Senior Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Cloud One cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security design and implementation of complex cloud solutions, and providing technical guidance to other architects and engineers. The role will also involve leading DevOps teams and supervising the development of automation tools and processes for continuous integration and deployment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex cloud and cloud infrastructure solutions that meet Government requirements.
  • Develop and implement cloud architecture standards and best practices.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure the infrastructure supports the software development process, including continuous integration and deployment.
  •  Lead the DevOps team to develop automation tools and processes to streamline software development and deployment.
  • Ensure that cloud infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and secure.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions to detect and diagnose issues in the cloud infrastructure and software applications.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other architects and engineers.
  • Evaluate new cloud technologies and common services and make recommendations for their use.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
  •  Develop and maintain relationships with CSPs and vendors.
  •  Develop and maintain documentation related to cloud architecture solutions.
Required Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • U.S. Citizen NATO//SECRET.IASE Level III
  • BS degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics. Or a combined set of years of experience in lieu of a degree, including the following:
  • Fifteen years of combined computer/network architecture experience. Or eight years of confirmed experience in Cloud Architecture is acceptable in place of a degree
  • Ten years of technical or management experience on DoD programs and projects that provided expert software O&M of Army enterprise systems
  • Five years of technical or management experience supporting industry and Government sector cloud initiatives at an enterprise level.
  • One full year of experience within the last three years, defining organizational project cloud migration objectives and requirements that map to enterprise cloud vision and/or initiatives, establishing system architecture, ensuring IA compliance, directing, coordinating, and completing project efforts, communicating with Government personnel, and providing progress reports.
  • Three full years of experience within the last three years working with commercial CSPs (AWS or Microsoft Azure) in cloud-based disaster recovery (DR) and multi-region / multi-availability zone (AZ) high availability (HA) (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure, and/or if needed for the new CSPs).
  • Knowledge of governance and establishing policies and procedures
  • Ability to lead at a Platform level
  • Hands-on experience with Agile System Development methodologies
Desired Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with Agile System Development methodologies
  • Ability to prioritize and display a high level of adaptability/flexibility while handling job responsibilities
  • Proficient in the use of tools and methods to efficiently lead product releases, sprints, and development cycles.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, think creatively/about the big picture, and dedicated (do-er)

Capgemini discloses salary range information in compliance with state and local pay transparency obligations. The disclosed range represents the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting, although we may ultimately pay more or less than the disclosed range, and the range may be modified in the future. The disclosed range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, geographic location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $160,000-185,000.00.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full-time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
