The Opportunity

Join the #1 NBC affiliate group in the country! KING TV, KONG TV, and king5.com are part of TEGNA offering the ability to sell into multiple platforms from digital to in-content to Kraken in-game sponsorship sales.

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, self-motivated Account Executive to develop new business and grow an existing account list in the robust Seattle marketplace. You will showcase your strategic and entrepreneurial expertise by building collaborative relationships and providing customer solutions through an integrated suite of media platforms including television, internet, mobile and other emerging products.

To do this, you will be part of a team of successful advertising sellers, account managers and digital strategists, who manage high-volume account lists, and are passionate about helping their clients thrive.

What You Will Do:
  • Consistently prospect for new revenue opportunities using client and category insights
  • Upsell current customers by engaging them in the full product line of KING5 offerings
  • Create custom solutions-driven campaigns that meet client needs across multiple media platforms including broadcast, digital, Streaming (OTT) and sports sponsorships
  • Seek opportunities to expand relationships with key clients by taking an active role in understanding their business needs and competitive landscape
  • Establish strong relationships with internal team members by providing account management team with clear and concise direction for successful execution of campaigns
  • Make decisions and solve problems independently to support customer needs
  • Utilize an Account Manager to provide exceptional customer service and contract fulfillment
  • Use Matrix to manage day to day activity, pipeline and forecasts
  • Utilize attribution technology and research to provide your clients with transparent and results focused recaps and growth opportunities
  • Positively and professionally represent the media group

What You Need:
  • Minimum 5 years of account engagement in a professional, fast paced media sales environment
  • Proven track record of success as a seller
  • Understanding of Comscore methodology
  • Understanding of Google Analytics
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines

Pay Range

$150,000-$200,000 USD

Benefits:

TEGNA offers comprehensive benefits designed to safeguard the physical, mental and financial health of our employees and their families. TEGNA offers two medical plan options for full and part-time employees through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, as well as access to dental and eye care coverage; fertility, surrogacy and adoption assistance; disability and life insurance.

Our 401(k) program offers full, part-time and temporary employees the opportunity to contribute 1% - 80% of their pay on a pre-tax basis to TEGNA's 401(k). Contributions made up to the first 4% of pay are eligible for a 100% match from the company and are 100% vested from day one.

Regardless of participation in TEGNA medical plans, ALL employees and their eligible family members receive nine free virtual doctor's appointments with a physician through Teladoc, and 12 free annual therapy sessions with a licensed clinician through Spring Health.

TEGNA offers a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) benefit as well as nine paid holidays per year.
