TeamHealth is looking for a full-time emergency medicine (EM) medical director to lead our team at Island Health in beautiful Anacortes, Washington -a location with amazing views of the water and an abundance of outdoor activities. As the leader of this department, you will report directly to the regional medical director and vice president of operations and will be responsible for developing and sustaining relationships, impacting clinical strategies and workflows that promote practice, patient satisfaction and improve value-based healthcare delivery. You can be either ABEM or ABFM board certified. A minimum of one year of emergency medicine (EM) leadership experience is required for all applicants. In this role you will oversee 8 clinicians. Island Health is a 43-bed facility. The EMR is Meditech. Island Health has a 13-bed ED with 17,000 annual ED volume. You will work with an outstanding and stable team of physicians and experienced group of advanced practice clinicians. Anacortes, Washington, is located just one and a half hours north of Seattle - with amazing views of the water and an abundance of outdoor activities.     Island Hospital
    Island Hospital is a 43-bed community hospital, a designated Level III trauma facility and a Level II stroke center. Cardiac care, cancer care, a birth center, pain clinic and hyperbaric wound care center are just a few of the services available for patients. Island Hospital employs more than 750 staff members and has five family care clinics, as well as six specialty clinics. Island Hospital is a public hospital district, (Skagit County Public Hospital District No. 2) comprising boundaries include Fidalgo, Cypress, Guemes and Sinclair islands. Five publicly elected Commissioners govern the hospital district to ensure best practices are fairly enforced, monitor facility upgrades and see to the enhancement of community services offered to residents of the district.
