Forming part of the Biotechnology segment at Danaher, we bring together dedicated technical expertise and talent to develop the next generation of life-changing therapeutics. This role sits in the Bioprocess Operating Company within Cytiva.

The Opportunity:

The Site Leader plays a key role in driving Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.

We seek a dynamic and results-driven leader with a proven track record of success in guiding operations to peak performance. Skilled at developing and executing strategic initiatives that enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and elevate overall business performance. Recognized for a collaborative leadership approach that encourages cross-functional teamwork and delivers on organizational objectives. This Leader will champion the Danaher culture and commit to excellence and engagement by applying the Danaher Business System (DBS), encompassing safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and profitability.

Reporting directly to the Senior Director in the Filtration Business Unit within the Bioprocessing Operating Company, this position is based in Pensacola, FL, with less than 10% expected to travel.

What you'll do:
  • Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the plant, including production, quality control, and maintenance. Ensure that manufacturing processes adhere to ISO 9001 standards and other regulatory requirements. Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant performance and OEE. Work with the commercial teams to understand demand and create actions accordingly, as well as cross-functional teams to drive new products into manufacturing.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage plant staff, including the site management team and all levels of the organization. Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement among plant employees. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support professional development. Communicate values, strategies, and objectives within the plant. Effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including the leadership team, associates, suppliers, and customers.
  • Quality Assurance: Embrace ISO 9001 quality management systems and industry standards to uphold excellence. Continuously assess production processes to uphold exceptional product quality and consistency. Proactively implement measures to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement. Be a champion for the Quality Management System.
  • Resource Management: Manage plant resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient operations. Accelerate talent management to ensure the continued development of direct reports. Partner closely with the human resources organization to develop organizational capabilities through succession planning, organizational assessment, identification of crucial skill gaps, talent acquisition, and development strategies that link with business goals. Oversee inventory management, procurement, and utilization of raw materials and supplies. Develop and manage the plant budget, including cost control and resource allocation.
  • Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety policies and procedures, including Process Safety Management, to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to address any hazards or compliance issues. Maintain compliance with environmental regulations and other applicable standards. Promote and drive a safety culture within the site. Ensure site cleanliness and 5S standards are enhanced and sustained.
  • Deploy DBS / Continuous Improvement: Embrace and implement the Danaher Business System to propel positive change continuously. Vigilantly track key performance indicators (KPIs) connected to safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity through efficient daily visual management. Harness the power of data and metrics to steer decision-making and instill top-tier practices in Manufacturing. Keep pace with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to uphold our competitive edge. Lead monthly site-level operating reviews driven by KPI and financial performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.


This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
