Job Summary:
The Enterprise Technical Consultant "ETC" at ComTec will work within high performing teams including, Senior Technology Consultants, Inside Sales, Sales Engineers, Channel Sales Reps and Management. The ETC is required to truly own the full scope of ComTec's solutions within the new and existing customer base and constantly seek out new applications and business efficiencies within our client and partner base. The primary objective Enterprise Technology Consultant is to grow the ComTec base of business in four major technology segments including Transport Services, VoIP Services Managed IT, and Premise Technologies through new sales though both major divisions of ComTec Consulting and ComTec Cloud Services and be a valuable technical asset to the enterprise sales team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Proactively engage with both new and existing customers to help them map their business needs to the ComTec business solutions while driving incremental sales.
  • Become a true business process consultant to drive value and set ComTec apart from other companies.
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and solutions.
  • Educate customers about features and benefits of products to improve related sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Present a professional image to customers and vendors.
  • Perform routine follow up calls to our existing base to determine if an opportunity exists.
  • Perform demonstrations of products and services to potential clients and agents.
  • Generate new and recurring sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner.
  • Ensure materials are presented to prospects in a complete, correct, and attractive manner.
  • Maintain a robust calendar of appointments by meeting regularly with both active and prospective clients.
  • Maintain accurate and complete information in Customer Relationship Management system including opportunities, tasks, and notes. (CRM) • Assist with quoting and approval of quotes as requested.
  • Turn in monthly KPI data sheet as requested.
  • Assist with recruiting, training, and on-boarding new agents.

Competencies:
  • Must be fluent with all ComTec technologies and be a subject matter expert.
  • Must have great communication skills both oral, written and listening.
  • Must be highly organized and process oriented.
  • Must have the ability to negotiate and a firm grip on buying and selling techniques.
  • Must be willing to travel and work extended hours.

Education/Experience:
  • B.A., Business, Finance or other related field or equivalent work experience within the IT industry
  • Minimum of six years sales and or sales support experience in the information technology industry
  • Proficient PC Skills
  • Ability to effectively utilize ComTec internal systems, tools, and processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
