Location: Miami, Florida

The Nurse Specialist assists in the maintenance of clinical integrity and regulatory compliance within the organization. Assists with chart audits for clinical oversight that evaluates the adherence of compliance to the standards of nursing practice as well as the healthcare organization's policies and procedures. Provides guidance in the process of development of action plans with the unit's/department's leader(s). Participates in the orientation of team members. Collaborates with nursing leadership in ensuring staff adheres to the organization's internal policies/standards. Assists in Joint commission preparedness. Participates in performance improvement activities. Maintains ongoing clinical knowledge through internal/external training programs, provide interpretation of knowledge and direction to staff. Identifies gaps in practice that are address through the review of standards, current evidence, review of policy for consistency of content with practice, and communicate training needs to the professional development team for staff training as well as follow-up. Promotes culture of Nursing Excellence. Educates staff on the 10 Caritas Processes, supports, and promotes integration of caring science into nursing practice. Serves as a role model for caring science and mindful practices as well as promotes establishment of healing environments in all areas where nursing is practiced. Reviews of Nurse Sensitive Indicators (NSIs), Zero Harm, RN Satisfaction, and Patient Satisfaction data to trend results to provide guidance to the Unit Based Practice Councils (UBPCs) and unit's/department's leaders on how to develop improvement initiatives. Serves as leader, consultant, mentor, and change agent to advance nursing practice among all settings across the organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:BSN Required but MSN degree preferred.Certification and Licensing:Registered Nurse Licensing (RN)Experience:Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
