About the TeamYou will report to our VP of Retail Operations and manage our team of General Managers.

About the JobThe Regional Manager is responsible – through direct influence, direction, and delegation – for their portfolio of cafes achieving the desired results in revenue, controllable expenses, and defined people metrics. You will achieve these results by providing excellent coaching to our team of General Managers (GMs). You will work with our GMs to ensure that we are always adhering to our service, product quality, and facilities standards and coach our managers on developing the Go Get Em Tiger leadership competencies that will be essential to their successful careers within the company.

Essential Duties

Raise the standards of customer service and product quality at our cafes

Regularly perform “Owner’s Path” walkthroughs of our cafes

Coach GMs on performing “Owner’s Path” walkthroughs

Clearly and effectively communicate necessary improvements to the GMs and hold them accountable to achieving the desired results

Recruit, motivate, train, and hold accountable a team of General Managers

Train managers on Go Get Em Tiger standards and practices and hold them accountable to delivering on them

Succession plan to ensure access to a pipeline of internally sourced managers. Assist in the hiring of great managers externally when necessary

Hold GMs accountable to achieving the goals they set for themselves as a part of their development plan

Achieve desired results

Meet or exceed portfolio revenue target

Coach managers on achieving unit-level revenue and controllable expense targets

Coach managers on achieving desired staff composition targets

Foster a safe and clean cafe environment for all employees and guests

Consistently achieve A grades on all CADPH food safety inspections at all cafes

Coach managers on urgently addressing any issue that compromises our ability to deliver a safe and clean cafe environment

Other Responsibilities

Attend bi-weekly management meetings

Give clear and direct feedback to staff in accordance with GGET feedback training guidelines, both in real time and during structured feedback settings

Execute all duties of either FOH or BOH at the highest level measured by the GGET skill tracker. Execute all duties of the other discipline at a level of baseline functionality. (i.e. is an A+ barista and a competent cook or vice-versa)

Support General Managers in shop-specific events and programming

Find inventive ways to increase revenue

Build long-term customer loyalty

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of two years of proven management success in a high-volume and/or quality driven food service environment is a must

Previous work experience in a high-volume specialty coffee setting is a plus

Experience managing diverse teams

Experience with P&L statements

Required Skills & Abilities

Demonstrate a complete understanding of G&B/Go Get Em Tiger values and standards in serving customers and in operational flow

Create and perpetually improve systems that are universally applicable in the store and can be implemented with ease

Demonstrable track record of delivering growth and success in Retail businesses

Good understanding of large-scale retail operations and the various systems supporting them

Demonstrable ability to think critically and build solutions to problems you encounter

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong strategic perspective, with the ability to execute tactical day-to-day deliverables while elevating the customer experience

Maintains a safe environment for all employees and customers

Strong product obsession for coffee, food and overall quality

Must possess a food safety manager certification or be willing to attain one within the first 30 days of employment

Availability for both weekend days and overall schedule availability

Must be able to provide reliable transportation to/from work and for work-related errands

Must be proficient with Email, Google Drive, Slack and Microsoft Office

Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for extended periods of time

Exposure to kitchen and cafe environments

Working at a computer for extended periods of time
