Learn more about Vail Health here.ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:Prepares, positions, and scans patients for Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT exams. Prepares and administers radioactive isotopes, and operates Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT imaging equipment.

This is a PRN or as needed position.WHAT YOU WILL DO:Performs all Nuclear Medicine and PET examinations according to Vail Health protocols.Complies with the State of Colorado for radiation safe practice in the handling of radiopharmaceuticals.Reviews each examination for technical accuracy, sends completed examinations to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure.Monitors supply inventory and notifies appropriate staff for ordering when stock is low. Keeps exam and dressing rooms stocked and neat.Identifies each patient and reviews exam order for consistency of examination ordered with clinical diagnosis. Reviews consistency of all demographic information including physician’s name and signature, patient’s name, and date.Maintains constructive collaborative communication with patients, families, physicians, co-workers and other members of health care team to contribute to continuity of care.Maintains established department policies and procedures, objectives, confidentiality, quality assurance, safety, environmental standards, radiation protection standards, infection control standards, and universal precautions.Maintains working knowledge and use of the Vail Health HIS and PACS computer systems to ensure quality patient documentation.Role models the principles of a Just Culture.Performs other duties as assigned. 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience required.License(s):

Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification (NMTCB) and/or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT(N)).Certification(s):

Basic Life Support (BLS) required.Computer / Typing:

Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc. Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.Education:

Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved Nuclear Medicine Technology Program.Application Close Date:
