Senior Director of Operations

QLM Search is recruiting a Senior Operations Director for a specialist Ingredients and Food group supporting the Food and Beverage sector. Reporting to the CEO and a dotted line to the global COO, this role forms part of the senior leadership team responsible for driving best-in-class operational performance across the business unit.Key responsibilities include:Provide leadership and planning for the division improving national operations and services.Lead and guide the operational remit of the business unit strategic/operational plans.Manage and develop all site operations procedures (multi-site).Drive the simplification of processes through standardization, technology, and innovation, and implement methodologies for the unit.Qualifications:Candidates must have come from a B2B Ingredients background and a manufacturing and operations background where they have managed all areas including Manufacturing, Engineering, and H&S. There is an ongoing project to identify a second facility, also in Chicago, so your experience must include experience in a greenfield (or brownfield with significant changes) site where you have led the planning and project phase, or in a startup setting. You will have implemented enhanced standard operating procedures, processes, and methodologies and must have the ability to lead and motivate a team, combined with a strategic approach to implementing change to drive operating performance.
