POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr. Production Manager at the Dallas Mavericks is responsible for overseeing all aspects of live stream and studio productions within the organization. This role involves managing the content creation process from inception to delivery, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure high-quality broadcasts, and driving the development of new shows and content that align with the team's objectives. The Sr. Production Manager will play a pivotal role in optimizing content flow across multiple platforms, managing sponsorship integrations, and ensuring the seamless operation of Studio 41.
JOB FUNCTION:Manage and coordinate all live streams produced by the Dallas Mavericks, including events, press conferences, huddles, and summer league games.Serve as the primary point of contact for all studio productions in Studio 41.Oversee the design and build-out of all graphics and overlays for shows produced in Studio 41.Coordinate with hosts (both on-staff and guest hosts) regarding filming schedules, runsheets, topics, and best practices for content optimization, including supporting discussions with relevant video or graphics.Schedule and book guest appearances for live streams.Manage the flow of content from Studio 41 and live streams to various platforms, including YouTube, social media, and podcast deliverables.Ensure proper file management for all live streams.Manage the integration of sponsorships into all live productions.Develop new shows and live streams to support the organization's initiatives and content needs.Support other projects in a management, coordinator, or hands-on capacity as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function as well as the following:
Extensive knowledge of live stream production, studio operations, and broadcast workflows.Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Proficiency in content management systems and video editing software.Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work closely with hosts, guests, and other stakeholders.Creative problem-solving abilities and the capacity to develop innovative content solutions.Ability to manage sponsorship integration seamlessly within live productions.Strong organizational skills, particularly in file and content management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Communications, or a related field.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in production management, live stream coordination, or a similar role.Previous experience in sports production or working with a professional sports team is highly desirable.Proven track record of successfully managing live productions and studio operations.
